The Black Lamb, a modern British restaurant located at 67 High St, London, has quickly garnered a reputation for its exquisite dining experience. Customers rave about the attentiveness of the staff, with many highlighting the exceptional service that elevates the meal. From the succulent beef wellington to the perfectly cooked deer and pork, every dish is a testament to culinary craftsmanship. Yumi Sykes and Sean K both express their delight in the dishes, underscoring the restaurant's commitment to perfection in cooking.
Moreover, the seasonal menu keeps diners coming back for more, as Robin Gupta notes the array of interesting cocktails and wine options, including their own Nutbourne vineyard selections. The balance of portion sizes and flavors makes each visit an anticipated affair. Dianne Wu echoes this sentiment, sharing how the staff, like the charming waiter Rohan, contribute to the intimate and special atmosphere of the dining experience.
In essence, The Black Lamb encapsulates a modern take on British cuisine, where every visit feels like a celebration of flavor, service, and ambience. With plans to return written in many patrons' minds, this gem of a restaurant is undoubtedly worth the visit.

We had a fabulous experience at this restaurant. Attentive service and amazing food! Enjoyed every single dish that we ordered. My husband loved the potatoes and we ordered some more! My favourite was the deer though everything was cooked to perfection. Will definitely go back!

Delicious food though it does take a while to serve as it’s cook to order. I had the pork and my husband had the hake and we were both very happy with them. Portion sizes is just the right amount of food. Will definitely return in the future

Another great night at Black Lamb. The service is always friendly. The menu continually changes so always something new to try and seasonal. Food is always delicious. We love to try the cocktail specials which are always interesting. Wine list is great and they have some of their own Nutbourne vineyards options to enjoy as well. We definitely should come here more often.

The was my second visit to The Black Lamb and I was definitely not disappointed. There are those occasions where you attend a restaurant and you think you have found a diamond only to be let down on subsequent visits well I can tell you I will definitely be going back a third, fourth and fifth occasion, all based on my first two visit so far. I do not think there is a meal choice in any course which you cannot want to try. I am going to work my way through the menu as every choice I have had so far, I have not been let down. For my main tonight I had Beef Wellington. Let me say that again BEEF WELLINGTON. Oh my God, it was divine. Best I have ever had !!! I have eaten in some exquisite places and at fine tables but hats off to the black lambs chef. Absolutely fabulous totally delicious. My friend that was awesome. Waiter service was excellent and the Red I chose to go with it was perfect for me, delicious. 'Les Chapitres', Maison Jaffelin, Burgundy, France, 2023

Perfect for a Sunday roast. Service was great as was food, had a selection of Sunday roasts and had our arm twisted to have a pudding. And with it being December, a glass of mulled wine topped it off. Not the biggest restaurant and it was pretty hot when we arrived, so wear layers you can strip off. Overall, would highly recommend.

A great restaurant with local, seasonal food and sparkling wines. Service was excellent, friendly and helpful. Nice touches throughout the restaurant and restroom areas. We ate a light meal as pre/theatre but would go again and try more.

A Sunday Night Treat at The Black Lamb!!! We made a last-minute booking for a Sunday night and snuck in just before the kitchen closed — and wow, are we glad we did! From the moment we arrived, Michele, our lovely waiter, made us feel right at home. Warm, friendly, and super attentive, he really set the tone for a great evening. The food? As delicious as always. Everything came out promptly (despite our late arrival), and we didn’t feel rushed one bit. The vegetables were so tasty and generously portioned — thank you, Michele! When it came to the wine, we were torn between two reds, but Michele came to the rescue and let us taste both so we could choose the perfect pairing. It’s the little touches like this that make the experience so special. The Black Lamb never disappoints. The food is top-notch, the vibe is relaxed and friendly, and service is always with a smile. We’re already looking forward to our next visit — live Jazz and Wellington are calling !!!
